Wood Show
The annual wood show has been a hallmark of the SWG ever since the beginnings in 1978.
Every member is encouraged to enter some of their work. Beginners and seasoned veterans alike bring their creations to the venue where volunteers set up tables, apply tablecloths and prepare the displays for a public showing.
A joint committee with the Saskatchewan Woodworkers' Guild and the Hub City Turners has pulled off another successful show held at Prairieland Park as part of the Collectors' Show held March 14 and 15.
WOOD SHOW 2026

Wow…Fantastic!
Over 30 creative woodworkers from Hub City Turners and the Saskatchewan Woodworkers’ Guild exhibited over 190 pieces at The Wood Show, held at Prarieland Park, March 13th and 14th.
Custom creations from tiny to huge covered over 1000 square feet of floor and table space as these artists showed us what can be created from time, patience and incredible skill. Whether it was for the kitchen or the den, there was something here for everyone to enjoy and appreciate.

It was encouraging to see that all different skill levels were represented at the show, from the new turner displaying their first bowl, the expert carvings of realistic depictions, and musical instruments just waiting to be played.
Thank you to all the members that allowed their works to be exhibited. Hopefully by exhibiting our creations we will encourage other woodworkers to investigate our groups and join our ranks playing with that which once may have once been considered firewood; turned into useful objects of art.
