Here is a submission from Dave Dunkley.
A couple of weeks ago a very close friend of our family passed away and her family asked me to make the Urn.
The only criteria was they didn't want the regular type they had seen in funeral outlets.
I made a couple of prototype designs to be sure I had the capacity of 200 cubic inch volume.
This is my final result. It is made of cherry and walnut. The base is slightly raised and the sides are curved with a band saw and smoothed with the spoke shave.
I holds 204 Cubic inches and is finished with 2 coats of Osmo top oil.
