Trent Watts: Trent showed us four salt cellar boxes. One each, made of birch, maple, local apple tree and burr oak. He used a bit of brass rod for hinges. He starts with a rectangular block, turns the bottom part of the block, hollows out the inside and then removes one, two or three corners. The remaining corner becomes the hinge point, the second point would be used to hold a spoon and the third is a knob to open the lid.

Vic Schapansky: Vic showed us three items. The first is a segmented vase with 193 pieces of pear wood and finished with teak oil and lacquer and buffed with the Beal system. It has two 16 segment rings and one 32 segment ring..

The second item is a candle holder. It has a square walnut core with curly maple outside.

The third is selection of key rings form miscellaneous scraps of wood. The hardware was purchased from Willian Woodrite.
